How does someone get a snake out of a car?

I heard something moving in my car, bigger than an insect and slower and more deliberate than a rodent. I think it could be a snake. I'm a young woman and am really afraid of stuff like that, so who can I contact to help me check the car and remove the snake if there is one? I live by myself 10 hrs from the town I grew up in. Thanks.
