Is dissecting a frog as bad as it seems?

I am in the 7th grade.We have to dissect frogs in Science , and I am terrified. Will the organs oozed gush? Couls the frogs carry some disease? I am scared and I am deciding whether to do it or not. My science teacher says it is an experience of a lifetime. Adults remember their 7th grade year dissecting frogs. I want that memorable moment, but I don't know what to expect.
