Pig dissection in biology?

I deeply care for animals and fully support animal rights, I'm a vegan and I totally object to having to dissect a pig for my freshman biology final. If I protest I'll be risking failing the class. So my question is, if I sit there and write up the lab rather than physically dissecting, am I just as bad as the people actually dissecting?
